Our annual event " Impression 2011" is coming on 29th Oct!!!

An harmonica ensemble is a group of harmonica players, 

each of them plays a different role in the music pieces. 

We have Bass harmonica, chord players and chromatic players as well. 

A variety of songs are performed by few ensembles.

Such as 

lively songs : Circus Scenes, Hungarian Dance, Can-can

Pop and classical songs: All I asked about you, Air on the G string 

and many many more!!!!

Come celebrate the NUSHO’s 30th anniversary! Music lovers will get to revel in this potpourri of music amidst resounding symphonies, all brought to life by the humble harmonica, accompanied by string, wind and percussion instruments.

This musical extravaganza of renowned pieces features River of Clouds composed in 2006 by Dr Mui Kwong Chiu (Hong Kong), as well as Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev (Russia), a children’s story told in combination of narrative and music. This showcase of talent also brings many famous pieces of Chinese music, including Dance of the Yao People and Butterfly Lovers Concerto.

 

Harmonica De Cantabile

Harmonica De Cantabile is the annual concert presented by Yu Hua's harmonica band. what is special about their concert this year is that they are having this concert in conjunction with SEVEN other schools' harmonica bands/ orchestra, namely NTU, Hwa Chong Institution, Victoria JC, National JC, Anglican High School, St. Margaret's Primary School and Lakeside Primary School. and you will get to see a total of 300 people playing together!! :D  our very own alumnus Aik Hong will also be performing for the concert. :)

Ticket Price: we will be getting the $15 tickets from Yu Hua, but will subsidize and sell at $10. if you wish to get better tickets, there are also $20 and $25 ones, price before subsidy (the $35 ones are sold out).
